Ethan after detether
Ethan was up and around very quickly. He didn't like the dressing over his scar and would peel it off when he was in bed so I had to put a new one on almost every day. He seemed more alert for a while after the surgery but then started getting sleepy again. In July he got his AFO's which did help his gait and helped him to trip as much. He was unable to flex his feet and they would roll in and he would be walking on the outside of his feet because of the nerve damage from the tethering. We noticed that Ethan had been continuing to gain weight. He weighted 42 lbs in China at his medical exam and weighed around 54 less than 6 months later. I had trouble finding clothes to fit him.
